Tooth Replacement

After your damaged or decaying teeth are removed, a replacement is of course needed.  UDA offers many different options for teeth replacement, including crowns, bridges, dentures and dental implants.  We'll get you your smile back!

Crowns & Bridges

The goal of having crowns or bridges is to bring back your natural smile and prevent future oral health issues. These types of cosmetic dental procedures can be performed to correct misshaped, discolored, chipped or missing teeth.

  • Crowns - usually made of a material like porcelain, can be placed on the top of a tooth to restore its function and appearance, attach bridges, cover implants, or prevent a cracked tooth from becoming worse.
  • Crown Lengthening - reshape gums and bone tissue, and often used to correct a “gummy” smile.

Bridges - natural-looking dental appliances that can replace a section of missing teeth and restore the natural contour of your teeth as well as the proper bite relationship between upper and lower teeth. Bridges are sometimes referred to as fixed partial dentures, because they are semi-permanent and are bonded to existing teeth or implants.

Dentures & Partials

Dentures are worn by millions of Americans with missing teeth. Most dentures are made from a combination of metals and synthetic material, such as acrylic resin.

Dentures are generally classified in two ways:

  • Partial dentures are designed to replace a small section of teeth, and help prevent existing healthy natural teeth from shifting position
  • Full dentures generally replace an entire set of teeth like the upper and lower jaw.

Each set is custom-made to ensure proper bite, size, shape and color. No need to worry about horror stories of friends and family who got dentures years ago, today’s dentures are lightweight and mimic the look and feel of natural teeth. Your new dentures will allow you to smile, eat and talk with confidence.

Dental Implants

If you are self-conscious because you have missing teeth, wear dentures that are uncomfortable, or don’t want to have good tooth structure removed to make a bridge, talk to your dentist to see if dental implants are an option for you.

I CAME OUT WITH A BIG SMILE...

CRAIG S.

Chicago

I have never been so happy coming from a Dentist in 60 years. Dr. Christian was so gentle and caring. I was so scared to have my tooth removed I came out with a big smile. I will also say if I would have came here year ago I would probably still have more teeth in my mouth. Thank you UDA & Dr. Christian for great dentistry for a wonderful staff.
